A letter was written to the General Officer Commanding, under date the 20th March 1890 regarding the arrangement with the Colony under which the water was supplied and paid for.
A reply may be expected daily to the communication alluded to. Only one point in that arrangement remains unsettled & the reply from the General Officer Commanding shall have been received it is hoped that the proposals may be sanctioned.
